The Percival Aircraft Company was founded by Edgar W.
Percival to build the D.1 Gull three seat tourer which first flew in
1932. The production model was the D.2 Gull Four which was built under
contract by Parnall. The D.2 was powered by a variety of engines
including the 160hp (119kW) Napier and 130hp(96kW) Cirrus. Only one Gull
Four remains in airworthy condition.
