The Vega Gull was a slightly larger four seat
development of the Gull Six. The two front seats were provided with dual
controls and it featured trailing edge flaps and the same engine
installation as the Gull Six. During the late 1930’s it had many racing
and long distance flight successes and examples were delivered to
countries as far afield as Canada, India, Kenya and Japan. Fourteen
examples of the Vega Gull 111 were delivered to the RAF in 1938 just
before production ended in 1939. It is believed that only one example
remains airworthy.
