Quad City Challenger 11    


The Quad City Aircraft Corporation of Moline, Illinois have produced a number of versions of the Challenger since the single seat Challenger (500+ built) first flew in 1982. The single seater was powered by a 28hp(20kW) Rotax 277 and had a maximum take-off weight of 500lb(227kg). The Challenger Special (100+ built) single seater first flew in 1985 and is normally powered by the 42hp Rotax 447. It has a maximum take-off weight of 550lb(250kg). The two seat Challenger 11 Special is powered by a 52hp (38kW) Rotax 503 and has a maximum take-off weight of 850lb(386kg). A float-equipped Challenger 11A (Amphibian) is illustrated below.
