Developed from the KZ-V11 the KZ-X was operated by
the Danish Air Force in the Air Observation Post role until 1958 when
mast were scrapped after a number of accidents caused the type to be
grounded. Eleven of those built were the Mk.1 version and the only
survivor is in fact the only Mk.2 built which features a modified tail
and increased wingspan . The Mk.1 had a wingspan of 30’11"(9.41m). The
KZ-X was the last of the KZ series as SAI ceased aircraft production in
1955.
