Scaled Composites 202-11 Boomerang

The unorthodox Boomerang was an experimental light transport featuring twin booms, the starboard boom containing the cabin, with an engine at the front of each boom. The undercarriage was a retractable tricycle type with the nosewheel at the front of the cabin boom. The port boom has room for luggage and the tailplane is mounted between the booms with an extension outboard of the starboard boom. The philosophy behind this design was to minimize production costs. The Boomerang was due to enter production with Morrow Aircraft in an enlarged form seating six and powered by 2x 325hp (242kW) Continentals and with a maximum take-off weight of approximately 6250lb(2835kg).
