The SF-25B Falke was a development of the earlier side by side two seat SF-25A Motor Falke (56 built) which first flew in 1963 powered by a 30hp(22kW) Hirth and with a maximum take-off weight of 1070lb (485kg). The SF-25C Falke (640 built) was first flown in 1972 powered by a 60hp(44kW) Limbach and with a maximum take-off weight of 1345lb(610kg). Other variants of the SF-25C were the SF-25CS Falke which had a feathering propeller, the SF-25C Falke 76 which featured a swept tail and the SF-25C 2000 Falke which was a SF-25C Falke 76 powered by a 80hp(59kW) Limbach and an optional tricycle undercarriage. The SF-25D was the SF-25B fitted with a 60hp(44kW) Limbach. An SF-25C 2000 is illustrated below.
