Schweizer 330

In 1986 Schweizer acquired all rights to the Hughes 269C light helicopter and the company, who had been building the type on behalf of Hughes since 1983, continued to upgrade the design. The latest development is the Model 300CB which is a 2 seat dual control trainer version with maximum take-off weight reduced to 1750lb (794kg) and which features a smaller tail fin. The Schweizer 330 was a new development based on the Model 269/300 and uses many of the systems of the latter. An improved model is the 330SP which has a rotor diameter of 27’3"(8.31m) and a maximum take-off weight of 2260lb(1025kg). The Schweizer 333 (60+ built) first flown in 2000  is an upgraded version of the Model 330SP with a maximum take-off weight of 2550lb(1157kg).
