Taylor-Young Model A

C G Taylor left the Taylor Aircraft Company which was now headed by Bill Piper in 1935 and proceeded to form a new company, the Taylor-Young Airplane Co. of Ohio in 1936. Its first product was the Taylor-Young Model A which was a side by side two seat development of the tandem two seat Taylor J-2 Cub. It was a very successful design and the next development, the Model B, which was powered by a 50hp(37kW) Continental became known as the Taylorcraft BC, although the company was not renamed the Taylorcraft Aviation Corporation until 1940. A small number of Model A’s remain active.
