Tipsy T.66 Nipper Mk.111

The Nipper was designed by Ernest O Tips and the first production version was the Nipper Mk.1 powered by a 40hp(29kW) VW and with a maximum take-off weight of 660lb(299kg). The Nipper Mk.11 was powered by a 45hp(33kW) Stark. A total of 59 of these two versions were built before construction was taken over by Cobelavia who built a further 18 examples as the D-158 Nipper. The Nipper Mk.111 was built in England by Nipper Aircraft who also built the Mk.111A (2 built) fitted with a 55hp(41kW) VW. An unusual modification of the Nipper is the Piper CP.1 Mesquite which is powered by a VW 1835.
