Van’s Aircraft Inc. of Oregon was formed by Richard VanGrunsven to market plans and kits for the single seat all-metal sporting aircraft, the Van’s RV-3, which he designed and built between 1968 and 1981. The Van's RV-3A is an RV-3 which has been retro-fitted with stronger wing root and rear spar attachments for aerobatics. The RV-3B is fitted with a new wing design. It can be powered by engines in the range 100hp(75kW) to 160hp(119kW).
