The Velocity series was designed by Dan Maher and kits for these high performance homebuilts are available from Velocity Aircraft of Florida. The Velocity RG has a retractable undercarriage. Other versions are the Velocity 173RG (20+ built) which has a length of 19’2.5"(5.85m), wingspan of 31’0"(9.44m) and a maximum take-off weight of 2400lb(1089kg). It is also available as the fixed gear Velocity 173. A fixed gear Velocity is shown below.
