Vertical Aviation Technologies of Florida have been
involved in the conversion and modification of Sikorsky helicopters for
many years and offered kits for the Hummingbird which was a modernised
version of the Sikorsky S-52-3. The Vertical Aviation Elite was a
conversion of the Sikorsky S-55 with a 700shp(522kW) Allison and a
maximum take-off weight of 7200lb (3268kg).
