The Weaver Aircraft Co. was formed in 1922 in Ohio by
George E Weaver. The company was subsequently known as the Advance
Aircraft Company but in 1929 Waco became the company name. The Waco 9
touring aircraft was the company’s first success in terms of numbers
built and at least 6 survive with at least one of those remaining
airworthy.
