The Waco YOC was a redesigned version of the earlier cabin Wacos and featured a slab sided fuselage as opposed to the rounded rear fuselage of the earlier models. The YOC-1 (4 built) was powered by a 285hp (212kW) Jacobs and had a maximum take-off weight of 3350lb(1520kg). Small numbers of the Model YOC and one example of the YOC-1 remain active. The Model YKS-6 (65 built) was first flown in 1936 powered by the 225hp Jacobs and with a maximum take-off weight of 3250lb(1475kg) and the Model ZKS-6 (5 built) was powered by a 285hp(212kW) Jacobs. The Model YKS-7 (57 built) was first flown in 1937 also powered by a 225hp Jacobs. At least 25 of these remain with a number still airworthy. Four examples of the ZKS-7 (19 built) with the 285hp Jacobs are also extant. Other versions which remain extant are the Model ZQC-6 (67 built) which was first flown in 1936 and had a maximum take-off weight of 3500lb(1589kg), and the YQC-6 (14 built). The VKS-7 (18 built) was powered by a 240hp(178kW) Continental W-670. The similar VKS-7F (21 built) was powered by a 250hp(186kW) Continental W-670. A Waco YKS-7 is illustrated below.
