Wassmer WA-81 Piranha

The WA-81 Piranha was a three seat variant of the Wassmer WA-80 Piranha (6 built). These were developed as smaller versions of the Wassmer WA-51 Pacific and were also of glass fibre construction. A small number remain active. This was the last design by Wassmer which went into liquidation in 1977, to be replaced by Issoire Aviation in 1978 who acquired the assets of Wassmer and continued to build gliders.
