Developed from the Yak-3U, the Yak-11 entered
production in 1947 and served with a number of Warsaw Pact countries as
well as China and the Soviet Union. It was built in Czechoslovakia as
the C-11 (707 built) from 1953 and was also available with a tricycle
undercarriage from 1958 as the Yak-11U and the LET C-11U. More than 100
airworthy examples exist in the United States, France, Sweden and the
United Kingdom.
