The C-12 was the military
version of the Beech Model 200 Super King Air which was basically a Model 100 with a T-tail and greater wing
span. It is among the best known executive turboprops and has been and
still is being produced in a number of variants. The Model 200C(83
built) is optimised for cargo carrying with a large rear cargo door. The
Model 200T(38 built) is a specialized maritime reconnaissance aircraft
with a maximum take-off weight of 14,000lb(6356kg). The US Army received
60 Model A200’s in 1975 powered by 2x 750shp(559kW) Pratt & Whitneys. In
military service they are designated C-12A’s. The USAF received 30
C-12A's and one went to the Greek Air Force. The UC-12B was the military
version of the Model A200C fitted with 850shp P&W engines and a cargo
door. The US Navy received 49 UC-12B's and the US Marines 17 from 1982.
14 UC-12B's were converted to TC-12B standard for turboprop aircraft
training with the US Navy. The C-12C (14 converted from the C-12A's)
went to the US Navy. The Model A200CT was developed for the US Army (24
examples) as the C-12D and the USAF (6 examples) The C-12E (29 converted
from the C-12A's) were re-engined with the 850shp P&W's for use by the
USAF. The USAF received 40 examples of the C-12F, the US Army received
20 and the Air National Guard received 6. 12 examples of the C-12F were
delivered to the US Navy as the UC-12F. Other versions of the C-12
include the RC-12D (19 new build and 40 converted C-12D's for US Army
special missions); the RC-12F (2 converted from the UC-12F for the
US Navy); the UC-12M (12 to the US Navy, the equivalent of the C-12F);
the RC-12G (9 converted from the C-12D for US Army special missions);
the RC-12H (6 examples to US Army intelligence); the C-12J (6 for the
USAF); the RC-12M (2 converted from the UC-12M for the US Navy); the
C-12R (military version of the Model B200C, 29 examples to the US Army);
the C-12R/AP (2 to the Greek Air Force as special mission aircraft); the
C-12M (for the US Customs Service); the RC-12N (19 examples to the USAF
for electronic countermeasures); the RC-12P (5 new build and 7
conversions from the RC-12N); the RC-12Q (3 converted from the RC-12P
for direct air satellite relay); the C-12R (29 built as transports); the
C-12T (23 for the US Army); The C-12U (a number of C-12F's with a
