The T-1A Jayhawk is a
military training version of the Beechjet 400A (560+ built). It is used
to train pilots for the strategic transport and tanker roles, and
entered service with the USAF in 1993. The aircraft has been modified
from its civilian counterpart by the strengthening of the airframe and
additional fuel tanks. 180 examples were delivered between 1992 and
1997, and 10 similar Beech 400T's are operated by the JASDF (Japanese
Air Self Defence Force) for pilot training. A USAF T-1A Jayhawk is
