The Texan 11 is a more
powerful development of the Pilatus PC-9. It was the winner of the JPATS
(Joint Primary Aircraft Training System) contest whose aim was to
co-ordinate pilot training between the USAF and the USN. It was ordered
by the USA where it entered service in 2000, and by Canada and Greece. A
USAF example is illustrated below.
