The 190A Sportplane was one of a number of light
aircraft built by the C H Richard Company of Lancaster, California.
Originally powered by a 100hp(74kW) Continental O-200, it was modified
for aerobatics in 1973 with a more powerful engine and redesignated
Richard-Judy Special. Also extant but not airworthy is the 2 seat
Richard 150 which was first flown in 1971 powered by a 150hp (111kW)
Lycoming O-320-A2A.
